Airtime

Recent radio features of Donna’ STRANGER.

On Monday, April 26th we Twittered and FaceBooked this information to most of you prior to the event and hope that many of you had a chance to catch the early evening show at Bob Birch Radio. Bob Birch, a respected internet radio jazz personality, working out of the U.K. picked up Donna’s CD, Stranger and decided to feature it on his widely popular Music In The Night program airing at 10pm GMT on Mondays (5pm EST). For many recording artists, Bob Birch Radio has become a great step up to increased airplay world-wide.

This past Saturday, April 20th, Donna’s Stranger received more play on Ottawa radio station CHOU 89.1 FM program The Latin Train. Host of the show, Mike Bongard, continues to give Donna the airplay and promotion she so richly deserves on his show which features some of the best in Afro-Cuban jazz; New York, Puerto Rican and Colombian salsa; timba; and Cuban songs.

The Dominion of DiG

Dominion On Queen show!

If we had time on our hands we would do a review of the Dominion On Queen show from April 9th. As it is, taxes are due within hours and the shift is about to hit the fan so we’re going to let the pictures do the talking. The small photos featured in today’s newsletter show Donna in full form singing to the crowd at the Dominion! See you at the Reservoir.

Here’s what her fans are saying:

  • Beautiful voice and great musicianship all ’round. — 1FilmLover (on YouTube)
  • Yesterday I got your CD and I was really dazzled! Good music, fine singing, that’s all I can say!!! — Jani, Vienna, Austria
  • WOW…. I love Cantemos A La Luna!!! It is so beautiful. On first listen, the album is amazing. You are a true talent. — David, Toronto
  • You have a wonderful voice and that is quite the group of musicians as well. A well produced CD with excellent choices of repertoire with a nice variety of styles and moods. I like it especially that your voice does not sound the same in every song. Quite often singers can sound the same no matter what they sing. You have a wonderful tone to your voice and I can easily see or should I say ‘hear’ your voice on the radio! — Richard, Toronto

And that’s not all! CIUT (89.5 FM) recently put Stranger on its Top 30 listing.
